I was an editorial intern at The Jersey Journal from Nov. 2010 to Aug. 2011. I generally maintained its blog, Hudson County Now. I did this by organizing photo galleries, aggregating stories and writing original content, usually about traffic/transportation issues or other breaking news.
I also was one of our Facebook page’s administrators and wrote many features and entertainment articles for our special Weekend Urge section which comes out every Friday.
In August 2011, I was hired as the Hoboken Now blogger and Weekend Urge entertainment reporter. I covered news and other events in the city of Hoboken as well as arts and entertainment throughout all of Hudson County. I also copy edited and laid out pages as needed for The Jersey Journal’s life pages and weeklies.
In February 2012, my contract as a full-timer with the Journal expired. I am, however, still currently freelancing art and entertainment articles for them.

Hi Summer,
I just read your articles on Killing Horse Records & Peter, Bjorn & John. Very good stuff! I wanted to pass along my bands music to you for consideration for coverage.
You could check out our stuff at our homepage (www.talldays.com) and/or Facebook page (www.facebook.com/talldays). We can also mail you a copy of our new CD if you wish.
We will be performing live at Maxwells on February 22nd with The Wicked Tomorrow.
