The inspiring power of a mentor’s kind words and an audience’s applause

I’m feeling great! My performance of “Kookspeak” opening for Reg E. Gaines’s “The Last Celebrity” went great! Check out some photos taken by Instigatorzine‘s Narciso Espiritu Jr.:

It was also great to see Reg do his piece a second time and definitely inspiring. A lot of times in the show he’ll talk about how someone he respected, admired or idolized would say kind words of praise about him and his work and it would touch him. At the end of my show, he paid that beautiful experience forward and told me I nailed my piece. I’m so thrilled that the Reg E. Gaines liked my show.

His next project is the Downtown Urban Theater Festival in SoHo, for which he is Artistic Director. I was in it last year with “Secrets; Love” and it’s a great festival! This year it runs from Feb. 27 to March 16.

Anyhow, moving forward with plans for my theater company, 68 Productions, for the year! Next project is “Before, After and Always,” with auditions on Thursday and Saturday. I need a male actor in his 20’s in the New York City area! Full details here.

Also, I added a Theater page to this blog, seen on the toolbar above, with quick information on each of 68 Productions’ shows including synopses, breakdowns, pictures, video and more!
