Performing in Tri-State Arts and Music Festival; Published Articles 5/6/13 – 5/17/13

I’ve been busy preparing for a performance of one of my favorite monologues, “Senses,” which is based on one of my short stories and was the grand finale of my one-woman show “Kookspeak.” See me performing an excerpt from the piece here:

I will be performing at the Tri-State Arts and Music Festival tomorrow, May 19, at 4:30 pm at the Monroe Center for the Arts, 720 Monroe St., Hoboken. The entire festival runs from 11 am to 7 pm; it is also Open Studio Day and the 3rd Sundays Hoboken Gallery Walk, so pay Mile Square a visit tomorrow!

After my performance of “Senses” will be the world-premiere of my comedic piece “Crushing,” featuring the talented musician and art event organizer Roland Ramos. In the story, an imaginative woman makes calculated advances toward a new stranger in her neighborhood only to discover a truth she knows all too well. This piece was inspired by one of my oldest short stories but has only just become a real theatrical skit. I’m super excited!

Anyhow, here’s some of my work from the last two weeks. Looking for creative opportunities in Jersey City? Click here and also watch The Jersey City Independent for this week’s updated list.
