Inspiring a new generation of writers at the Madison Young Playwrights Festival

Last month I had the honor of being one of the first all-female casts to present winning plays in the Madison Young Playwrights Festival at Torey J. Sabatini Elementary in Madison, N.J. My director, Dania Ramos, wrote an awesome reflective blog post about it on the New Jersey Young Playwrights blog.

I got a special shout-out as a past winner of the company’s statewide young playwrights contest in 2007!

I absolutely agree with what Dania said: “It was moving to watch Summer take the stage today and offer a new generation of young writers the opportunity to see their work come to life.”
